My name is Danielle (I am Nikole’s sister) - posting an update on behalf of both Nikole and HARE polish. I want to start this out by letting you know that Nikole has been admitted to a treatment facility, in reference to the health issues I know she has previously mentioned. To say the least, it has been a very turbulent (and frightening) time trying to determine the best course of action for her health, which has declined way faster than she or anyone around her could have expected. Unfortunately, in the process, a million balls have inevitably been dropped with HARE polish.
Without Nikole at the helm 100%, Elaine and the team they put together were unable to complete their duties as mentioned in the post prior to this one. Since Nikole is officially unable to run the business presently, we have banded together and familiarized ourselves with the process as quickly as possible in order to get this sorted for Nikole and for all of you. Per Nikole’s insistence, regardless of the status of your order, we will be shipping ALL orders. I want to make it clear that it was never, EVER Nikole’s intention to make anyone feel cheated or scammed. Even if it sucks HARE polish and her entire livelihood dry, she has made it very clear that every order must ship (*special gratuity polish still included, of course).
Once all orders are filled, the HARE polish shop will most likely be closed until further notice.
Though…there is one collection in the laboratory that has completed the testing phase. We are considering releasing said collection before the shop is closed: simply because we believe it to be beautiful and I know we can take care of the release even if it’s necessary for Nikole to remain absent. If we move forward with this last collection (for the foreseeable future), Nikole has given us her blessing to promise a turnaround time, and if said turnaround time is not met, we will issue a full refund. We will feel it out and make an announcement as soon as possible.
I was also asked to note that once the shop is closed, Elaine will be taking care of replacements and other loose ends.
All of us: Nikole, Elaine, family & friends want nothing more than for Nikole to be back in this office; creating, building and growing like she intended to be doing with all of her heart, before this illness started tearing her down. I’ve been asked to apologize obsessively on her behalf – you just can’t know the remorse she feels. Now that our family believes we have found the right doctors/facility, we are hoping for a smooth recovery with Nikole back in action like she’s never been before. She has been cooking up some big ideas and I personally can’t wait to see my sister’s dreams materialize.
